After five months of intense regional cybersecurity competitions for over 1,200 middle and high school students across Canada, ICTC is pleased to announce the top 13 teams advancing to the CyberTitan IX National Finals competition on March 23-24, 2026.

Since 2012, ICTC’s K–12 programming has empowered nearly 200,000 students across Canada to build digital fluency, confidence, and career awareness needed for success in today’s rapidly evolving technology landscape, from advanced manufacturing and mining to quantum technologies and defence. Through partnerships with industry, government, and schools across Canada, ICTC’s CyberTitan initiative has provided 8,250 middle and secondary school students with hands-on learning experience in simulated cyber threat environments to develop the critical digital skills needed to succeed in STEM programs and a variety of professional fields.

Making the cut from over 206 competing teams, ICTC congratulates the following 13 teams that will progress to this year’s national finals competition:

  • Tech Titans – Exploits Valley Intermediate – Grand Falls Windsor, NL

This year’s final competition theme will be Return to Space, with teams competing in the following fictional scenario:

Our national space agency is facing significant communication problems with its remote forward base on Mars. A specialized team of cyber security experts from the Canadian National Incident Response Team (CNIRT) has been dispatched to assist. The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) has declared an emergency, as the situation may put our space engineers and scientists at risk. The forward base’s IT network is unstable, resulting in unreliable communication links. These disruptions leave crew members without contact with Earth for extended periods, creating potentially life‑threatening conditions.
